In One's Pocket

  • Appleton Art & Culture 120 W Schlieman Appleton, MN56208 U.S.A. (map)

Join Kristin Peterson on a mixed media papery menagerie. In this two day class, we will be making zine-type books full of color, stitching and creativity. We will continue with simple tags of art marks, found words and ribbony sashes. All held in our own paper pockets. This class will be full of color, drips, art marks, folds, and fabric.

And of course, paper pockets full of goodness!

Our zine pages will be filled with exploratory drips and dribbles, stenciled or stamped, art marks, and collage. There will be sewn fabric bits and pieces of everyday magic. Let’s do our own storytelling in these little books.

As we make our zines and fill the pockets, we will explore composition and the visual appeal, while having a mindful conversation about color.

This class is suitable for all experience levels, as we will walk on the side of permission.

This is a 2-day class: Wednesday, Oct 27 & Thursday, Oct 28.

The cost is $200 for both days. (Your $200 must be received to hold your spot)

There is a limit of 8 students- and this will fill fast!
