Let's make some paper tape
I am not sure about you, but the last few weeks have felt really hectic. So I am welcoming the month of October and the slower pace of fall.
The colorful change of leaves. The crisp air in the morning (almost demanding I wear a headband now).
Welcoming simple play….
I showed up at Jennifer’s Stone’s studio (fabulous by the way…..), to catch up on life and hang out. She had a very overgrown cactus in a teeny pot that had been desperately yelling at us to be repotted and this last week was the time. So once the cactus was repotted, it was time to play.
The papertape was out…. and who doesn’t love some colorful paper tape?!
I made strips of colorful papertape in every color she had (of course…. hello! why only make one or two?!)
I thought it may be fun to film one to show here.
Love the textures created by ripping the paper tape unevenly and then taping down and mark making with a pencil.
All of this = happiness.
Enjoy this video…. (almost forgot…. that dabber is walnut ink!!!- I tried looking for you, but not sure they come like that any longer, but may be able to make one).
