Paperdolls & Creative Update
We had gone to visit our son last week and I had packed a art bag for traveling.
A few essentials in the travel bag:
a couple of small art journals to work in
grab of collage fodder
a small tin of watercolors (a nice color palette)
scissors, glue and an assortment of pencils/ pens
I had been so inspired by the paper dolls I was seeing on Instagram…. I had to give them a try even with my limited supplies.
Megan Whisner-Quin started this paperdoll revolution. Check out Megan’s dolls here.
Megan had used face stamps and I would have used my face stamps (Woodland Fairies Stamps) to make the dolls, but of course, I didn’t have those packed…. so had to punt and drew my own faces.
Now that I am back, I may have to give these dolls another whirl using the face stamps and access to a full studio.
I had a suggestion on making these two ladies into stickers and would love some feedback and thoughts on this. Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Let me keep you all in the loop… my Book Maker collective class- Dipped & Sewn is coming up on April 10th and 11th. Are you joining me? Need more information on the class? Check here.
And, did you know I made a custom stencil for this class? Sharing this link with you! You’re welcome.
